Marques Clark: A Voice for Change, A Force for Equality Marques Clark is a celebrated hometown hero, chef, author and poet whose work transforms lives and communities. As the St Petersburg Florida Medal of Honor Humanitarian Award Recipient and Honorary Deputy Wardens Medal Recipient of the Florida Department of Corrections Marques has dedicated his life to mentorship, reform, and advocacy for social equality.
Through mentoring young African American boys in public schools, he helped turn failing grades into diplomas and despair into hope, empowering families and communities.
His leadership also inspired black fathers to reclaim their roles, breaking cycles of absence and fostering healing with a message of love and purpose.
Marques's work extends to prison reform, bridging humanity between inmates and staff.
For his courage and vision, he was honored and recognized by Florida's Department of Corrections.
As an All-World International Chef and founder of Yes Chef Village, Marques champions food justice, bringing farm-to-table dining to underserved communities and creating spaces for nourishment, sustainability, and connection.
An acclaimed author of seven books, including the international bestseller Breaking Out: Escape the Fear of Failure and his latest novel Greyhound Love, Marques inspires readers to overcome fear and find purpose.
